In November of 2023 we bought a 20 plus year old house in Anthem Country Club that needed a whole house remodel...meaning new floors, knocking out walls, redoing the kitchen, etc. By way of background, my wife and I are not rookies when it comes to projects like this, we have done many whole house remodels gutting houses down to the studs in some cases as well as buying land and building from scratch.In our past projects we have been fortunate to find great contractors who worked with skilled designers and then finally interior designers to assist with furniture layout, etc. Tanna does all of these things. She is by far and away the most skilled , talented person we have ever worked with...she quickly "got us." Without Tanna, our house would have turned out OK....with Tanna our house is going to be amazing. These types of projects are expensive, making a mistake is very costly, Tanna will keep you from making mistakes. Whatever her fees are its worth every penny to make sure your investment turns out right.

So thankful for Tanna! When we entered into a new build on 5 acres - we knew we needed help and I'm so thankful we found Tanna. From the moment we met her, we knew she had our best interests in mind and that we were in GREAT hands. Tanna was with us from beginning to end - 2 years!! She helped us with the architecture design and attended every meeting with our contractor and architect. She held our hands when we had to completely change direction, and presented a model which became our dream home design. Tanna was with us every step of the build process - surfaces, flooring, paint colors, cabinet and design, plumbing fixtures, and lighting. I'm so thankful she was our partner through all of these details. We honestly would not have been able to create our dream home without her. I was stuck on a layout for the living room, kitchen, dining room and another family room remodel. How could I best use this space for our large family? I shared what our challenges were, what I dreamed of it being and Tanna helped us get that on paper. She walked us through the process with the architect. As we continue to move through this remodel, I plan to hire Tanna to continue to assist in making our remodel come to life. I would definitely recommend you taking the time to talk with her, well worth the investment.
Working with Tanna made the process of remodeling our home extremely easy. The way she organized the process was helpful to reduce stress and made decision making so easy. She has a gift of visual clarity that I didn't have. I depended on her for 90% of the purchases and design elements, thus allowing me not to worry I didn't make the right decision. She was there all along the 6 month process. Getting cabinets ordered, flooring, countertops, tile etc. picked out and ordered made the project go smoothly. There wasn't an issue with any of the vendors we used. Highly recommend her to anyone. You will not be disappointed.

We were updating our kitchen and wanting some help with layout and lighting options. I had seen Tanna By Design while looking at ideas and loved what I saw, plus she was local in Yakima. We are very strong in our ideas and what we like and don't like, and Tanna respected that and how much input we wanted to have. She offered ideas that went along the lines of our likes and then let us run with where that took all of us in our final choices!

We were in the market for an interior designer to help us design multiple rooms and spaces in our new house. We had sold our previous house with all the indoor and outdoor furniture, so we were starting fresh at our new house and needed help to create a cohesive and appealing design. Tanna by Design to the rescue! Tanna worked with us to design and furnish our outdoor space, dining room, living room, entryway, and kitchen nook. After contacting Tanna and describing our needs, she met and communicated with us multiple times to plan the design and get our feedback. She provided regular updates on shipping and worked with our schedule to arrange for delivery and set-up days. The final product was beyond amazing!!! We are in love with all the spaces that Tanna designed and we are so excited to show them off and entertain friends and family. Tanna created beautiful and functional spaces and made our house a home. We would definitely work with Tanna and her team again!

We're doing a new construction in NY and we contacted Tanna for her "a la carte" services to help us with the random things we needed guidance on and for her general experience in homes and design that we lacked. She is not only incredibly responsive to our emails/questions, but she delivers on everything we expect and more. She has helped us TREMENDOUSLY with planning out our forever home and she has likely already saved us from making mistakes that would cost us lots of money down the road. We plan to use her for more steps in the construction planning process and eventually the interior design as well. Thanks, Tanna, for all you do for us!

Tanna is a true professional in her craft. She is one-part artist and one-part designer. She is incredibly skilled and breaks down the elements of interior design in a way that anyone can understand. When we decided to remodel some areas of our home, we didn't know where to begin, so we reached out to Tanna and we are so happy we did! She has been incredibly helpful during the remodel process! We entered into a huge project to update the majority of the living spaces in our house. This included taking out built-in cabinets, removing a closet, new flooring, painting out all existing oak cabinets and stair banister, painting walls, and completely giving our kitchen and fireplace a facelift, just to hit the major things. This was the first time we have done any renovations and we knew we could not do it alone. We had heard amazing things about Tanna from some friends of ours, so we contacted her. We were not disappointed. She made the entire project as easy as it could be. We knew from the initial phone consult that she was passionate about not only her work but also developing relationships with her clients. She really got to know us and what would best work for us as well as the look we were going for. She was an advocate for us when working with contractors and subcontractors and has many connections in the industry and her knowledge of how to do things is priceless. I reached out to Tanna for a consultation after purchasing my first home. She was responsive and professional and made excellent use of our brief time together. She went above and beyond by having contractors come out to provide bids and being there when the contractors arrived so she could help explain her vision for the projects. Tanna is willing to do as much or as little as you are comfortable with. I feel like I got excellent service at a great value and highly recommend Tanna by Design.

My husband and I met Tanna years ago through youth baseball. When we decided it was time to remodel our master bathroom I was overwhelmed! I know what I like and spent many hours perusing magazines and showrooms , but had no idea how to implement what I wanted so I reached out to Tanna! Best decision ever! Tanna is passionate about what she does and has me feeling confident and excited about our project! A true professional. She lives and works in eastern Washington , and I am in western Washington , and having only seen photos of our home she was able to perfectly pick colors and materials to enhance the style of our home , as well as hold my hand and guide me through our first major remodel ! I am highly recommending Tanna Edler, an Interior Designer in Yakima, Washington. I was looking to do a large Kitchen Remodel and needed help pulling all of my ideas together. I had a dark, drab and outdated space that I wanted to convert into a light and bright Farmhouse Style room that would look a little different from all of the other white Kitchens I had seen. I had some ideas of my own that I wanted to contribute and I also had a set budget and was not willing to exceed it! Tanna walked me through her business model step by step and asked me to trust in the process. Boy, I am sure glad I did. I not only came in under budget, I had a blast during the whole project. Tanna made each decision right there with me and together we were pumped up the entire time! Plus, I had the chance to incorporate some of my woodworking which Tanna based her design concept around! Her enthusiasm is contagious and her knowledge is power! I learned a ton through this experience and can't wait to hire Tanna again when I'm ready for the next update!

I knew what I wanted to remodel but I was having trouble getting it off and running. Our contractor told use to go pick out flooring and tile, but it was overwhelming. I did not have the time to go back and forth with options. Tanna took the stress out of the project. She listened to my ideas and then suggested things I never would have thought of. She put together palette boards and made the project so easy. She is responsive to questions. She lined up the flooring, paint, tile and cabinet installers and worked very well with our contractor. She just took a lot of the burden of remodeling off of my shoulders. I would highly recommend her service and would use her again. You will not be disappointed.

I first ran across Tanna's name and design work in Yakima Magazine. I remember thinking that her design style was stunning, and that someday I would love to have her help in creating a space that would be just right for our family. Months later, we moved into a new home and were faced with what seemed like an endless canvas of blank walls and floor space. I was overwhelmed. I contacted Tanna, and invited her over for a consultation. Tanna instantly put me at ease. She was both personable and professional, creative and kind. Tanna took the time to get to know me so that she could understand my personality and preferences. Tanna has transformed several areas of our home and we are overjoyed! I am amazed at the beautiful touches she put into place, and by how much those touches have created an atmosphere of welcome and tranquility. I am excited to continue working with Tanna, and can hardly wait to begin our next project.

Tanna helped us with our highly anticipated and long overdue kitchen remodel in 2019. She helped us line up a contractor and cabinetmaker, pick out tiles, paint colors, etc. We wanted to be very hands on in the process and she welcomed that, gently guiding our decisions and not forcing anything on us we didn't like. She was such a pleasure to work with that we decided to tackle a master suite renovation (turning two normal bedrooms into a bedroom, walk through closet, and fabulous bathroom with a steam shower!). We are about to start on that and can't wait to see how it turns out. With Tanna's help I am sure it will be fabulous!

NO CHALLENGE TOO TOUGH! Kappa Delta Sorority on the University of Washington campus was in need of a formal living room make-over. The massive space offered multiple design challenges ..., but we made a three-fold request of Tanna: make a 100-year old colonial structure appeal to, and fit, the demands of the active collegiate women’s lifestyle without losing its sense of tradition, and in the process, make it stand out from 18 other campus sororities! And it all had to be accomplished in a very tight turnaround.I personally couldn’t get my head around it, but Tanna saw the possibilities immediately and her enthusiasm was infectious. Most appreciated in the whole process was that she LISTENED, to the Corporation Board’s need for a long-term, timeless solution ... From the get-go, Tanna took charge. She communicated a complete design and plan and she managed the ENTIRE process. She literally made it effortless ...Tanna, a consummate problem-solver and visionary.I couldn’t recommend TANNA BY DESIGN more highly!

Tanna is an amazing designer and helped me with a Master Bed/ Bath and a Formal Living Room. She first gave me a designed drawing of what the spaces could look like, and then we went from there. Tanna doesn’t just bring a gift of design, but is a well educated professional in the area of design/decorating. She allows you to give your ideas and how much you would like to spend, and works with those. She makes suggestions of what she thinks would work best, and I appreciated that so much. I would have put the wrong color of paint on my walls, and would have been redoing them later if Tanna hadn’t made another suggestion. Loved working with her, and would use her talents again. I do have a few more rooms to redo. I love my new rooms, and only have a few more things to add, and she has patiently waited on me and my busy schedule. Thank you Tanna!

Tanna is a delight to work with. We remodeled my parents' former home so they could move back closer to me. My mom has Parkinson's and all the decisions could have been very difficult but Tanna took the time and patience to make them easy for her. She is very patient and kind. We completely opened up our rooms and it’s now so much better for entertaining. Her ideas were innovative and very helpful.
